Mennonite Weekly Review

The Team: Carl, Eric

Mennonite Weekly Review needed a site redesign and a Content Management System that would let them update their constantly-changing news site with a minimum of staff time. Working off their initial design and layout, we built a clean, simple visual look that allows users to find the information they’re looking for easily and quickly. Using the Django web framework, we gave them a web-based admin interface to upload and tag their articles, photos, and one-off pages.

Bethany Christian Schools wanted to increase their web presence with dynamic resources for students, parents, prospectives, faculty and staff. Their needs ranged from practical calendar, news and announcement updates to implementing a new brand with a more open and welcoming site. They needed a solution that was flexible and easy to manage themselves, cheap enough to implement and maintain on a small budget, with easy access to large amounts of content for different constituents and stakeholders.

Indigenous Issues Forums

The Team: Aaron, Carl, Eric

Indigenous Issues Forums was looking to break out of the box with a visual, kid-friendly site that evokes the natural world through artwork and movement. We built the site around their beautiful logo (hand-drawn by Jim Yellow Hawk) and created a rich seasonal landscape backdrop, hand-drawn by Aaron. We pushed the boundaries of the web browser by building on the open-source MooTools JavaScript library to create a site that moves like Flash but is web-standards compliant, degrades gracefully in older browsers, and is fully accessible to all web clients. Using the powerful and flexible open-source Django web application framework, we provided IIF with an intuitive administration interface for managing text and photo content.
